SMRP provides live and on-demand educational presentations that meet the variety of skill and interest levels of the practitioners that we serve. To achieve this, SMRP is looking for dynamic, engaging presentations that promote excellence in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management. If you are interested in presenting a webinar through the SMRP Professional Development Webinar Program, we invite you to submit a presentation.

Guidelines & Selection Process

Presentation Guidelines:

Webinar presentations are one hour in duration, with live presentations including a brief question and answer session. The webinars are hosted via GoToWebinar which requires the instructor and participants to join online and via an international toll-free phone number. To be considered as an instructor for an SMRP webinar event, your presentation must be educational; sales presentations will not be considered. Additionally, your presentation must support SMRP’s mission to develop and promote excellence in maintenance, reliability and physical asset management by aligning content with SMRP's Body of Knowledge or GFMAM's Asset Management Landscape.

Presentations should align with one or more of the below focus areas

  • Business and Management
  • Manufacturing Process Reliability
  • Equipment Reliability
  • Organization & Leadership
  • Work Management
  • Asset Management

Content Review:

All content submissions will be evaluated by SMRP staff and a review committee. SMRP staff will notify you of the review committee’s decision. SMRP may choose to keep your submission on file for up to 12 months to be used at a later date. If your presentation is accepted, SMRP staff will assist you with next steps. 

Submissions will be reviewed and selected based on the following criteria: 

  • Overall quality and relevance to maintenance, reliability and physical asset management
  • Alignment with SMRP’s Body of Knowledge or GFMAM’s Asset Management Landscape
  • Practical applications of material
  • Speaker qualifications

Submit a Presentation

To achieve good attendance, live webinars require at least one month of marketing. As such, you should provide all of the required information listed below no later than one month before the intended live webinar date. Webinar content, for both live and on-demand presentations, should be submitted via the Webinar Submission Form. You will need to submit the following:
 
  1. Contact information
  2. Professional biography (500 words or less)
  3. Professional headshot (optional)
  4. Webinar title
  5. Webinar description
    1. Short version (60-70 words)
    2. Long version (500 words or less)
  6. Experience level (beginner, intermediate and/or advanced)
  7. Alignment with SMRP Body of Knowledge of GFMAM Asset Management Landscape
  8. PowerPoint slides
  9. Additional materials (optional)
