How To Start an SMRP Affliated Chapter

Chapters are formed as a way to promote and advance the maintenance & reliability profession by offering continuing education, and networking opportunities at a local level. Individually, for chapter leaders, it is an opportunity to gain experience operating a business for career and future leadership roles.

The maintenance & reliability profession is also advanced by affiliated chapter leaders and members contributing to the continued development of the CMRP exam (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional). SMRP encourages members in the chapters to develop questions to add to the question bank, and validate current questions by sitting for practice exams.
