A visit with the South Louisiana
Chapter and Panel Discussion on Chapter Relations
New
Orleans, LA
Join SMRP's leadership and our South Louisiana
Chapter for some networking and a panel discussion around
our chapter relations. The purpose of the Chapter Panel
Discussion is to talk about methods that have worked well
in other chapters and answer questions for people who may
be interested in joining a chapter, or starting one in their
region. Some ideas for discussion topics are:
• Online meetings: what media is available and how
can SMRP help Chapters use this?
• How do we get people in the seats? Drumming up attendance
at chapter events.
• Recruitment techniques-what has worked and what
hasn’t.
• How to identify and communicate companies that may
not be members of SMRP.
• College events, how to start recruiting college
students to SMRP and the M&R profession.
• Retention: how are we doing? Are we keeping chapter
members longer than the initial join year? What retention
methods are being utilized?
This is a great opportunity to learn not only how you can
get a chapter started in your area, but for those who already
have chapters up and running this will be a great time to
share best practices and new ideas!
We'll have a networking reception on Wednesday
evening from 5:30-7:30 and the panel discussion and breakfast
will take place on Thursday morning from 9:00-Noon. To register,
