Proctor Approval Process

Proctor Eligibility:
All exam proctor applicants must be certified as CMRPs and in good standing with SMRPCO. Each applicant must have been certified for 1 year. In the event that an applicant is not CMRP certified, he or she is not eligible to sit for a SMRPCO certifying exam for 5 years from the date of the proctored exam session.
 
Proctor Application & Approval Process:
 
  1. Complete electronic Proctor Application to become SMRPCO Approved Proctor
  2. Applications reviewed by SMRPCO
  3. Upon SMRPCO pre-approval:

    If applicant is affiliated with a US-based university, technical or community college:
  • Complete Proctor Training Webinar
  • Receive official letter of approval
  • Schedule exam session online via the Proctor Exam-Scheduling Form Note: Exam sessions must be submitted 2-4 weeks in advance. If you are holding an international exam, please allow 4 weeks when submitting your request.
If applicant is NOT affiliated with a university, technical or community college:
 
  • Coordinate shadowing a SMRPCO approved proctor
  • Submit Proctor Trainee Approval Form upon completion of shadowing
  • Receive official letter of approval
  • Schedule exam session online via the Proctor Exam-Scheduling Form Note: Exam sessions must be submitted 2-4 weeks in advance. If you are holding an international exam, please allow 4 weeks when submitting your request.
4. SMRPCO strongly encourages ALL proctors to attend the Proctor Training Webinar, scheduled once a month on the SMRP Calendar of Events at www.smrp.org
