The Maintenance and Reliability Knowledge (M&RK) Committee
is responsible for developing and maintaining the Maintenance
& Reliability Body of Knowledge (MaR BoK) which is an
aggregate of all that is known and understood in the field
of maintenance and reliability based on familiarity gained
through experience and association. M&RK has completed
the frame work using the 5 Pillars of Knowledge as well
as Levels 1 & 2. Level 3 is underway.Once complete,
the MaR BoK will be the definitive source for information
for maintenance and reliability professionals.
M&RK also oversees the publication of the Guide to
the Maintenance & Reliability Body of Knowledge. The
Guide is a comprehensive reference document that provides
guidance to both new and experienced Maintenance & Reliability
professionals who are looking for a roadmap to world class
performance. It encompasses Levels 1 & 2 of the MaR
BoK and outlines the subject areas to be mastered by a Certified
Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP).
Other Activities
The MaRK Committee recently finished the foundational work
for the new online Conference Proceedings database. This
new tool is part of the Library
of Knowledge and allows immediate access to more than
a decade of practical real-life experiences that support
improvement in maintenance and reliability. MaRK is responsible
for the ongoing maintenance of this value added tool.
